And if they're not worth buying, can you offer some (free?) alternatives?

Hey Svetlana! Well I LOVE TRA :D But my good buddy, Josh Newton, loves his Kubota actions (he also loves TRA). I personally can recommend TRA. I payed for my copy and LOVE what I've gotten in return.

Here's a post (external link) I just now did about a photo where I used TRA (before and after post with the action recipe). Hope that helps ;)

Hey Bobby, wow you're fast, I wasn't hoping to read through your B&A Wednesdays until tonight! :) I knew you were a fan of TRA from your blog ;) and what you do with those actions is amazing. Which TRA version do you have?

I no longer use actions. I've tried a few action packs throughout the years (free and purchased) but many of them are so specific to the creator's workflow that I've found it hard to get the results that you're supposed to get, and it often requires more tweaking from you to look decent. I figure with all that tweaking involved, I'd rather just make my own actions to do it all rather than buy something that does it partly.

Most of the actions are really simple and very easy to create something very similar or identical.

But the action pack that I actually DID use the most out of any was the Kubota Artistic 2. And out of that action pack, the only action I used was "chocolate syrup", with the very occasional "lord of the rings everyday", which I haven't used in about two years.
