Did I get too arty with this... or has it turned out ok?

Thanks to Adam for the idea on how to shoot 3 lovely women.

Thanks Mills. I'm still getting a feel for how much to change a photo before it gets too much.

I like the shot. Wish the mike had been a bit lower but very nice, nonetheless.

Good work. Looks just right to me.

Bless the recently fallen and their family and friends.
I have a Cannon with me at all times. You can't take the shot if you don't have something with which to shoot.

Yeah it was a little dark, but I had just got my 20D, and I hadn't set it to RAW yet because I didn't have the software loaded, and they wanted to use the pics at the end to scroll through on the projectors. So I shot it on JPEG at 1600 and 3200 ISO, no flash... Then just did a quick cropping run before running then through noiseware. I'm not sure how to adjust the tone under JPEG. I am completely comfortable doing it from RAW, but JPEG doesn't seem to respond to my techniques as well :p
