First Post...Please C&C!
I just got my camera last week and have enjoyed playing around with it. Please tell me what you think of this picture I took of my daughter. Thanks!

no flash,natural light from a window behind me. i shot this with a 300d, 18-75mm lens. i have no idea what the other settings were b/c i don't have my camera with me right now to look at them
 . but is it a pretty good shot? |

colors are nice and vivid. Young girl's face isn't overly bright anywhere. I'd say pretty decent exposure. Did you use the auto function on the camera or choose the settings yourself?

i am pretty sure i shot it on av mode, but i couldn't tell you the numbers. like i said, i am brand spankin' new to the dslr world!

I'd say it's a great first post and a nice portrait of your daughter. Her eyes have nice symmetrical catchlights from the window behind you and her face is well lit. I might try some post processing to tone down the reflections on her upper lips but that's about all I'd suggest. Keep shooting and having fun.
