As Pete says, check out the link. I am a fan of the boks by Bryan Peterson. He writes in a very readable understandable style.

Don't know where you are in your "learningcurve", but I like Scott Kelbys books "The Digital photograpy book vol 1 & 2" Think theres a vol 3 out now aswell. Im in my first year of photography and have learned alot from these books.
