mine is from a quote I found years ago that struck me....

"My best friend was a teacher in Louisiana with the romantic name of Emma Celeste Thibodaux. We hadn't met--we never met" -Clyde Robert Bulla

Not quite sure why it struck me, but it did and I've used the name Emma Celeste for years as a screen name.

It's just an abbreviation of my business name.
Phil Williams Media & Marketing is a bit long to use in a URL
Using it as a user name for everything helps when someone does an internet search.

First name.........Scott. Last name........Colbath.

I know. Shocking.

All one word in lowercase because it's easier to type when logging in. I figure it could save me about ten minutes over the course of my life when compared to using caps and a space bewteen the first and last name.

I just wasted one of those ten minutes posting on this thread.

I made this name in 2004 when I got my first guitar, and I couldn't really think of anything else to use, so I've been using this wherever I go. So if you see a GuitarFreak, there's a good chance it's me

I was given mine when I bought our first "family computer" and was setting up our account. I set me and both my two kids up with thier "screennames" and they picked mine out, they were 5 and 7 at the time.

We raised and kept Labrador retrievers and we had an aviary where we raised ducks and I was an avid duck hunter as well. So they gave me the screen name ducklabdad. The two kids are now 23 and 25 but I have continued to use this screenname for everything.

I started using this handle in various online communities and games. I have another I also use (and a third one most rarely), but this is the one I try to use the most.

"Mato Nanjin" means "Standing Bear" in Lakhota. It's my dog's name:

He looked like a bear when he was a pup.

Lush or drunkard sounded too plebeian.

Many years ago I joined a forum owned by a guy named Dean, who was called "Dean-o" as in Dean Martin. But his screen name was Dno - a little easier to type, I guess. When I had to pick a screen name for that forum, Yno popped into my head, and I use it for all the forums I join.

It started way back when I used to play counter-strike (a first person shooter PC game) and pretty much just stuck with it for every screen name I use.

Warat in tagalog (national language of Philippines) means destroyed.

I was a print journalist for 10 years, then a television foreign desker for a further 20 years. Then, disillusioned by the transition to 'infotainment', I quit to become a charity worker, heading up a telephone contact service for the elderly and vulnerable.

Never saw this thread, guess i'll chime in.

The "bucket" is a seat assignment on the fire engine I work on. The bucket seat is one of the rear jump seats where the "firefighter" rides. The Lieutenant drives and the Captain rides in the front passenger seat.

So, at shift change people usually ask "who is the bucket man?" or "who is riding the bucket?"

I guess it comes from some of the small/cheap flip down seats in some of the old Grummans we have, kinda like riding on a bucket.

So, thats me...BucketMan.
