I have just bought a Canon G2 and find that the maximum shutter speed is sometimes not large enough (usually below 1/1000 s). It's quite difficult to take a macro photo in a sunny mid-day.
1. Can G2's low maximum shutter speed be overcome by using an ND filter? 2. Will the image quality be affected? 3. Is shutter speed as high as 1/1000 s necessary for taking a photo of a fast moving object in everyday life context? 4. Is it true that the maximum shtter speed of a prosumer digital camera is usually not as high as (e.g. 1/4000s) that of a film SLR camera? Tanks. |
