Default 22 hot pixel

I recieve my G1 for a few days and following hot pixel test on the camera.

I want to ask someone with experience in G1, should I reject this camera or just keep it since not every camera is perfect. Does 22 hot pixel create a big problem?

I test the camera with ISO100 for 1 sec and the hot pixel appear on the low right hand side 1500, 993.
And in shutter speed 1/30 only 1 hot pixel.

Many thanks

Check this out. It's done with CP990 instead of the G1, but the basic information and the points of view are very good. Cheers.

For comparative purposes, I just tested my G1. Using the eyeball test, I can see no hot pixels at a 1-second exposure using ASA 50, though the DeadPixelTest.exe program tells me there are several hot pixels there.

If you can actually see 22 hot pixels (or even one hot pixel) on shots you are likely to take, that seems like a lot and Canon will fix the camera. If they are merely indicated by the DeadPixelTest program and you can't see them, then in my opinion you don't have a problem. I gather, from other people's experiences, that Canon is good about fixing this problem either by mapping out the hot pixels, replacing the CCD, or replacing the camera.
