Default Help on Canon G2

I just recently bought the Canon g2. Since, I am relatively new to Digital Photography. I am able to use the Auto mode and pre-defined mode settings in the camera. I need some help in understanding the manual features such as Program mode etc... how to use them, what settings are best suited for different situations.

Does anybody have any resource or a website that you can direct me for getting help?

thanks
prince

The simple and obvious solution is RTFM (read the fine manual). If you don't have the manual, you can purchase one from a company called CRC (Tasktron Ltd). Their email is: crc.woking@btinternet.com

There are also some after market manuals for the G2 that are available on Amazon. One such manual is A Short Course in Canon Powershot G2 Photography by Dennis Curtin. The manual from Canon emphasizes HOW you make certain camera settings. Dennis Curtin's book is an introduction to WHY you would use the camera settings.

Get Digital Photography 99 Easy Steps. written by Ken Milburn. It's a very comprehensive book which clarifies all your questions on the Canon G2 and some more.
I have been avoiding the auto mode since reading this book and the outcome has been rewarding.

I believe you can download the manual from Canon USA. I read it there before I bought my camera.
