Question Canon Wireless Remote Control RC1 Inquiry.

Hello everyone does the Canon Wireless Remote Control RC1 work with a Digital Rebel XTi? Thank you for the assistance.

Yep
Works with the XTi, but the range is poor (10-15ft).
It only works if you point the remote directly at the IR sensor.

Just as an FYI, the primary purpose of the RC1 is to allow you to remotely trigger your camera while taking a picture of yourself or a group of people with you in it.

There is an aftermarket remote that is much cheaper that gets great reviews.....it's on a thread a few pages in....(forget name)

User876, thank you for the information. I was searching on Amazon for another brand but the reviews said it had cheap construction.

Go to the P.O.T.N. Support Shop (link at top of page) they make excellent wireless remotes for about 30 bucks. Got one myself and LOVE IT....
