Default My son

I got a new toy today....85mm 1.8 and holy moly!!! I love it!. The only PP I did on this pic was cloning some cheetos off his face, lol. His eyes are naturally this color as long as I get them in them in the correct light.

What aperture? Flash? You may have just sold a lens.

It was at 3.5 and I didn't think I used the flash on this one but according to my EXIF, it was on. It must of been pointing it up.

Thanks everyone for the comments.

Cute picture!! Totally weird though because I used to work with a kid that looked just like him!! I wish I had pictures to show you, it is wild.

(that was in Washington though)

Gorgeous! His eyes look absolutely beautiful and I love the sun lighting his hair. Great job!

tracey, Nicely composed and he is very handsome. Two things that may improve the image, on is avoiding the sun all together. the very bright area on his hair is still distracting.
Second is directional light usually works a little nicer. Here the light is pretty flat actually. hope you find that helpful.

Definite fill flash; check the shadow on the right side of his chin. Well balanced no matter how unintentional.

well, the fill flash is a little more powerful than the main light it looks like, as the chin shadow falls on the left side of the face, and the right side of his face (left side of picture) is actually a little brighter than the left side of his face, but in all leading to a bit of a flat look.
