Default 480ex onto Tripod??

Im shooting basketball tonight and want to put the 480ex onto my tripod as a slave to get the light from higher up. How do i mount it? I dont want to just put the flash on the little stand and leave it on the floor...any ideas?? I dont have much time.

The little stand has a Screw hole underneath that can be attached to the bolt in the Tripod .

An umbrella bracket can help sometimes, and if you're using a radio slave this cord.

Amazing, I have 2 x 580s and am awaiting delivery of a couple of umbrella adaptors so that I can try out my new off cam twin flash set up, I never knew about that thread under the 580 foot stand, now I can mount both flashes on their stands without waiting for the adaptors!!!
You get my vote as the person knowing the most obscure but useful tip of the year!

I definitely owe you a drink, thanks a lot
