You got something against the Pacific Rim area, Kojack?

Great concept! Love how it turned out. What method did you use for the fire trail? Doesn't appear to be a match, and it's too subtle to be steel wool.

Its actually a flaming ball of napkin from McDonalds. haha. Had to release the shutter after it hits so it doesn't create a trail where it falls.

What I like: you set up the background so the trees were above their heads. Nice!

What I don't like: well, I'm not a fan of sun-flare shots. Personal taste. And it looks like your wife (I assume) is like mine: posed smiles always look forced. So #1 and #3 don't work for me. (#2 is fantastic.) BTW, I'm not at all bothered by the missing feet in #3. But the dead space on the right could go away for my money.

What I love: the drool on the shirt in #4. I'd clone just a hair more trees above his head (hard to get the camera lower when you're already shooting blades of grass!) and print it. This is what 2-year-olds are all about!

I'm not a huge fan of sunflare shots either, and trying to force one with the 85L was a task. it didn't want to lock on focus, which is strange because my 50L would lock on instantly. yeah...the dead space on the opposite side made me mad. I could have used that for her feet! lol

yeah, I was already laying down on the ground getting the shots of him, and he's 11 months old, and was teething (already has 8 teeth)...not quite two, but due to his size, he could pass for a two year old
