I did have the flash pretty close to the subject and I was shooting through an Umbrella because I'm too cheap to buy a softbox... but that is coming shortly.

You guys both use photoshop to edit? I'm using lightroom because I'm entirely too cheap to splurge on photoshop

Some think Lightroom is just as good for digital images as Photoshop. Have you tried different presets via lightroom or users? Give it a whirl

Thanks guys and I agree it could use a little more light on one side of her face. I do have a reflector but failed to throw it in the truck when we headed out.

those are really good for the first time taking out your soft box and using it the manner as seen in this thread.

heck, my first try the subject was too bright and the back ground was like dark.. not balanced..

your shots are balanced and can be really saved in post processing.. though i preferrer to start out with a good exposure.

good compositions..

Pretty darn good phamster, Don't mind a bit. This does pretty much save this photo. Although she would killme if she knew I forgot to PS out that zit on her forehead. She was so furious to wake up on the day of the shoot and find it LOL

Now what is funny. Is they just called and ordered a 20x24 gallery wrap for her wedding and as you might have guessed picked an image that I didn't even bother to display, but was one where I used OCF so maybe I have future with OCF after all. Here it is

By users I mean what other people make and put on the web for you to dl free. You can pretty much google them.

that's that wonderful 50 1.4 its a 50% or so crop, i really wanted those droplets visible! and with no macro lens, its all i can do.
