Your work just get more amazing with every post.

Carley, your work is very inspiring. If we could be half as great as you...we would be pretty good!

like OMG, I'm going to add a critique to a cheetapita thread (blasphemy!)

#1/5: the lighting is too flat on the baby's face

There. I said it.

I am always amazed at your work! I had my first maternity shoot awhile back and my photos did not come out anything like yours. What is your secret to picture taking and to post-editing, if there is any. Any insight you can share with us newbies?

thanks everyone!

hoff- the lighting might have been a bit more flat than my normal stuff...but i just absolutely love that sweet little face is it a technically perfect shot? no (none of them are) but i think its good qualities outweigh the bad. ty so much for the comment though - i didnt even really think about it being flat until you mentioned it - and youre right!

linda - thanks! Ill share any info you want - but could you be a lil more detailed on what you want me to share? a LOT goes in to taking photos/processing them...i doubt i could write it all down in one comment - but let me know what youre most interested in knowing and i'll share all my knowledge in that area

I'm just yanking your chain since you repeatedly post images that are adorable AND technically perfect. I wouldn't be half the baby photographer I am today if I hadn't seen your threads. So it was nice to see that even you are human and not some adorable-image-producing robot.
