Default NY Botanical Garden Orchid Show

http://www.nybg.org/tos09/

Headed there this coming Sunday, March 15th. Anyone up for another NY meet? I want to see if the 180L is really worth the money. Tickets to the show are $20.

Interested in this one since I missed the March 8th meet.
$20 eh? Friggin New York...everything costs money!

Next thing you know, they'll be charging for the Oxygen we breathe!

Hmmm...The Bronx Zoo is right next door ain't it?

The prospect of a 2 for 1 is indeed tempting...

Sounds like a lot of fun. It would be interesting to shoot but unfortunately I will be out of town. Have fun.

And parking is 12 bucks. I was there 2 weekends ago and it was all you could do to see the flowers past all the lenses.

Dress light...it's warm in the observatory; you don't want to be dragging around a coat.

Cool! Now that we got all the dead weight out of this meet, it's shaping up to be a real nice one.

...well one more left. Where the heck is MDJAK?

Why don't you just use the Canon tube, get some duct tape and mount it with your Nikon 24-70?

Hell, that's what I am going to do. 85L + Kenko tubes + 1.4x TC = pretty good macro getup. But crap, shooting macro means either a pod or a flash, and I'm not too keen on bringing either of them, being that these items are for wimps. Plus I ain't gots room for the flash if I is gonna bring me 200L.

Damn...I gots real problems.

So what about going across the street to meet and greet MDJAK's cousins at the Bronx Zoo?

Anyone? Anyone?

What's another $50 right?

I'm always up to visit my relatives at the zoo. I'd rather do that than pansy flowers, but I'll do both.

Actually, same here. I would rather pay up and do the Zoo thing, but I'm down for both if everyone else is up for it also. Maybe we can even walk from the Garden to the zoo to save on parking?

Speaking of everyone else...what gives? What. No takers?

I'm down for the Bronx Zoo as well, there's only so much macro you can do in a day so I'm up for walking over to the zoo after we're done at the garden.

Awesome, let's do a 2 for one then. Flowers in the AM, Animals in the PM.

BTW, you driving in?

As I mentioned before, we can leave our vehicles at the Garden and walk over and save $12 each.

I've been itching to give my 200L a good run again. I haven't been shooting at all lately so...

So you down Old man 'JAK?
