Some interesting new additions! Err....I think?!?!? And I'm also really intrigued about the background to the dwarf. Do tell.

And here's another from me I just found. It's one of my Dad's new "neighbours" and I spotted the surname(!) and thought I'd add it here.

Had to severely skew the original image to make it clear, so apologies it's not the best shot I've added...but what a great name to take to the grave!!!

Some human touch to this thread.

It was somehow soothing to follow this painter to work with the pictures of the 'customers', one being on the background. Picture taken in Recoleta in Buenos Aires.

I have no idea what the story is behind the dwarf, I found it odd that he was there. He was placed between two headstones but didn't seem to belong to either grave, he also look like he had been in that position for some time.

Sorry to disappoint, I wish I had a great story to tell. I could make one up if you like

Standing between two graves with a grin like that, he must be up to something.

Question:

In that cemetery yesterday there was a section that appeared all Jewish, most of the headstones people had placed small rocks on them. What is the meaning/purpose/symbolism of the rocks?

Sorry no pics.

Can not help with the symbolism, but here is an example of a Jewish tomb: Igor Stravinsky buried in San Michele, Venice.
