Hi all,
well, me and old telescopes just keep finding each other. On neither occasion was I looking for one, but there it is... I was handed this one on Friday, and have since pulled it into a million bits, measured and photo documented the whole thing, done some research online and written a new web page for my site. http://www.asignobservatory.com/1867...refractor.aspx Enjoy the read! Baz. |

Very cool. Where do you plug the GOTO into this one?

Its a five-pin (four plus one opposer) cable and manipulation device that bridges the user interface between the rear of the OTA and the bipedal humanoid operator.
It's one of the best available GOTO systems I have ever seen. |

Sounds impressive. What are you using to power that GOTO? 6pk VB?

My power source is chemically powered using O2, supplemented with H20. I can usually operate DC all night without recharging......Although sometimes hibernation mode kicks in which effectively shuts down operations for a night. |
