I tried to shoot a subject which background is a waterfall. The rock is dark color i.e dark green - black.
The light struck the subject which in turn lit the subject while the background is dark (maybe the forest covered the sun ray). Thus I tried to use spot and center weight metering. I've tried to EC +-2/3 but either the background is overexpose or the subject is overexpose. Tried to reframe the subject till it fill most ot the frame, but this time the face would be overexpose while the arm and leg look under. The rock color is dark color, thus by right if I shoot using center weight metering it should be overexpose but why in this case it would be under? Tried to use reflector but seems like there's not enough light to be reflected to the subject face. Thus what's the best advice on shooting with these condition? Tried to use flash but the face would be overexpose. |
