Hi,
I want to shoot images with big depth of field Its highest fstop is f-8. At 28mm I have to focus approx. 3.3m to get max. depth of field. How do I do this with Canon SX200 (or Canon SX110 or any point and shoot with manual focus option)., it focuses only on center. I have not been able to fully understand how to use manual focus in this case. Thanks in Advance Anirudh |

Read up in the manual about how to activate Manual focus on the camera. In the sx100 i recall it was to push the set button twice, and then rotate the little dial to the MF square. Then you can roll the dial (on the back of the camera) any which way to decrease the focus distance in mm.
To get the maximum DOF, I advise using Infinity Focus and F8. Also make sure you're zoomed out to the widest focal length ( 28mm ) |
