Default Which bags compete with Urban Disguise 40 ud40

I thought I would help myself make a decision and its not working out that way

I brought home a UD 40, UD 60 and Tenba messenger.

I need a bag for a "daybag", just going out for a day at a beach, or a walk/bikeride where I need to cover ranges of 10mm thru the 100-400 lens, I suspect the three lenses would be 10/22, 24/70, 100-400 with a 40D. Add to that a flash/filters/battery/memory/small misc. (This list was chosen to cover a cool landscape shot/a good people portriat/a duck flying overhead seen on this imanginary walk)

I am liking what I see so far with the UD 40 general size---the other two are 3-4 inches longer and seem bigger than I might want to go with.

I looked at the Domke line---can't see what bags come close to being like the UD40---can someone help with that.

Has someone else that wanted a bag similar to UD40 got an idea what others I should consider. Where I went they had only a 6MDH so I didn't get to see a 7MDH for comparison.

I don't think a laptop is necessary in this case for what I want to accomplish with this bag. (and tend to think the added thickness of a laptop slot is a negative not a positive for this bag)

Thanks
Dan

You might look at the Think Tank UD 35 as well. It is similar in size to the UD 40 but rotated 90 deg. so it is taller for holding longer lenses with camera attached. You could divide it into 2 "silos" with your long lens in one, and other two stacked in the other with a pad between them. The small slot for the laptop can be configured to allow a camera with grip to fit in the case while mounted to a lens. I have both and find them both to be a nice size and complement each other very well.
