Talking |-Lost Files On Your Card?-| ::Click Here::

Recently I have seen a few threads about people who have formated their memory card or deleted files, they come to POTN (Great Place ) For advice and ask for any programs,

To save some time I have made a list of some programs you can try

These Seem to be some popular data Recovery Programs, so if you have lost some images give them a try.

Most are for a PC, but there are a few for a mac, if you guys can post some more links to programs you like I can add them to the list

Peace

I had a external drive quit on my before I switched to a RAID system and I had to send it out to a place in Silicon Valley where they charged me $4,000 to retrieve all my files.

Go RAID!

raid != backup. There are various reasons why raid arrays can and do fail, and yes, disk recovery is expensive! It should be noted that photorec isnt as point and click/GUI oriented as other software, nor quite as user friendly, but it and testdisk work pretty well if you know what you are doing with them.

Thank you so much! You saved my pictures! I accidently formatted the wrong card in my camera. I thought I had lost the pictures. But I saw this post and used the Rescue pro that came with my memory card and I was able to retrieve my pictures. thank goodness it worked.

Nice idea for a sticky!

Here is one not made for cards, more for hard drives, but along similar lines I've had really good luck with "get data back" from runtime org.
http://www.runtime.org/

I've had it recover some otherwise totally toasted info on three different occasions.
It will even try to repair a broken RAID..
