If Pix sees that so many like his noise thingy, then maybe he would want to sell it. Not give it away without his permission.

However, if he did sell the action, and make more for other cameras, I would be all for him selling it. I would be first in line to buy. |

Drisley has very kindly run one of my images through the action - as I don't yet have the software required.
I am so impressed that I thought I would post the results here, together with the full size image. First the full size and details. (This is the one from Drisley) ISO6400, 1/200, f4 @ 70mm ![]() This is part of the original I processed in ACR, compared to pretty much the same part of the image produced by the action - sorry it's a bit wide - hope the mods don't mind too much. http://www.general.colston-online.co.uk/Comparison.jpg

Yes it's amazing.
And this is a worst case scenario... ISO6400 with indoor lighting. Yet, the image reatains good detail, and looks natural... no mottled flat look. |

Drisley,
You need to give me a 101 on which action to use. Still a little confused by all the things in the action. For ACR->PSCS4 workflow, what exactly needs to be run in the list of actions? I am very impressed by these samples. Simply AMAZING!!! Thanks! Nick

so far every iso3200-6400 shot that i fed into this new NR process, was with perfect exposure.
i'm going to see how it works if u miss exposure be like -1 or -2 stops. that is the true test |

It works well. If you do so, remember to use the HIGHER ISO in the action. IE, if you underexpose an ISO3200 shot, use maybe the ISO4000 or ISO5000 action, and don't recover until after you have processed the RAW with the NR action. At least, that works best for me. I've recovered ISO3200 shots up to 1 stop and they are clean as a whistle.

For ACR, use the LR actions for the particular ISO you shot. |
