Default g3.crw files won't openn in DPP 3.6
Just got a nice G3...no software...just a nice body and battery...
I figured new Canon software would work...but...

...after I copied the files to my pc using a card reader, and just tried to open the RAW images with DPP V 3.6.0 but got the X-in-the-box 'error'

...anyone with suggestions for my error in uploading "CRW_" images in DPP?
...jpeg files open in PS6 no problem...

...and PS Elements7 opened the .CRW RAW file...now why wouldn't DPP open it...

RAW files from Canon G-series cameras prior to the G10 cannot be processed in DPP. The reason is that before the G10, DPP was only shipped with DSLRs. You will need to use ZoomBrowser EX (the RAW Image Task plug-in) to process your RAW files.

Yup...that's just what Canon told me...I'll just use PSE7...thanks....
