These were all done at 18mm, f/9, BULB mode. I varied the exposure time a lot since I couldn't see how the shots were turning out, I wanted to make sure I had plenty of different ones to choose from. I used my strato C6 and just held the remote shutter release down and counted in my head, then let go.

I've done that, but since you took the time to lash the tripod in, here's a better idea: TEST! Park beside the road & try different exposures so you can find the best range to use.

I was thinking about the variation to get the dashboard against the outside lights which have the potential to be very bright. Also surely with long exposures you're going to get interior movement.

lol....I will probably do that if I ever try this again. I had been shooting pretty much all day and was just heading home and thought "I wonder if I can get this tripod to sit still back here". I was too excited that I just got the setup to work to think any further ahead LMAO
