Any observations on which new pocket wizard you would choose giving consideration to both the size of each unit, the fact that the mini uses a different battery than all other pocket wizards and the flex can be used as either a sending unit or a receiver and the mini cannot.

Considering you will always need at least one transmitter, I think it only makes sense to pick up at least one Mini to take advantage of its size. Spare batteries go without saying, if you have one when you need it, its not an issue.

I tend to agree with you. I have also heard that the battery life on the Mini is quite substantial.

I have the mini and flex, the mini is a lot smaller and better suited for on camera.

ax the mini, just go w/the tt5. the mini is cute in studio. but its only a transmitter, the tt5 is both, and only slightly bigger than the tt1
|

I agree that functionally, the tt5 is obviously more superior and for the premium, it's not bad at all.. but with this system, you will always need a transmitter.. so mind as well save the few bucks and get a dedicated transmitter..

I know this isn't what you asked for, but it's with the TT1. It should give you some sort of relative comparison along with the previous photo I posted.
