Default Otley Bicentennial Show (part 1)

Taken Saturday at the Otley Agricultural Show-Yorkshire

As I was mooching around the show, a chap came up to me and said he was the show's press liaison officer (or some such high falutin title) and asked if I was press or private (photographer), when I told him I was a private tog, he passed on the instructions that I wasn't to enter any arena or fenced off area (which I was aware of anyway), but if I wanted to take any close-ups in any of these areas, to see him and he would arrange it.....and I thought, what a nice gesture, an official that's trying to do his best to help photographers, when all to often nowadays you get a sullen keep off or get away.

All taken with a Canon 1DS MKII or 1D MKII, 135 f2L or 200 F2.8L lens

Further exif info in the image

1# The Rabbit Judge

2# The Joust

3# Judgement Day

4# A Mellow Shag

5# The Pain

6# The Jump

Concentrate on equipment and you'll take technically good photographs. Concentrate on seeing the light's magic colours and your images will stir the soul. - Jack Dykinga

Wonderful shots. I seriously had no idea what I was going to find upon click. But, I am surely glad I made that click.

You have portrayed the people brilliantly.
I love #4, and the jump in 6 is very cleanly captured.

Well done.
