I'm new to this forum, but I heard I can find some of the nit-picky critique I need here.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I was particularly concerned about the lighting on this one since there was so much space to expose... ![]() I'm just a high school student but I'm pushing to get into fashion photography, so feel free to be as harsh as someone in that industry might be. If there's anything you need to know about the specifics of a photo, just let me know. Thanks! Last edited by ArjunaCapulong : 30th of May 2009 (Sat) at 12:02. |

You are on the right track. Others are not going to like that you cut her legs off at the knee in the bathtub shot but I don't mind that. I do it all the time.
The first picture is certainly creative, but a little confusing. Maybe if you cropped in a little tighter to lose some of the junk at the edge of the frame. The wild hair/bedroom shot is very good. Somehow you nailed the exposure. |

First one doesn't do much for me. I really like the other though. In number 2 I would have liked to see the entire bathtub forming the border to the picture but I still think it's really good. I like this set, color exposure look great.

For some reason I really like the last shot it's playful like your bedroom shot but has a little more.

You know ... I really like number 4 the best. I think the lighting is good - even though you say you were worried about it - and the girls seem to jump out the scene. Nice.

Also a fan of the last two. The junk at left is just a little too much in #1. In #2 it's hard to know whether to call the coroner's office. #3 looks very forced and the necklace so retro it's hard to credit. #4 and #5 are both terrific. In #4, I like to see all of the hair exploding upwards, and a touch more shadow detail in the black garments, particularly the girl on our left. #5 works a treat as is: love the juxtaposition of more traditional asian hair style and colours with the hipness, colour and accessories.
Wow - and to be doing that in high school...! I think I'll have to toss all my old highschool photography slides if I ever find them again... ;-P. Cheers, Tony
