It depends on the filling/type of pie. Some pies are best eaten warm. Some pies are best eaten cold. Pi pie is not very good either way.

Most of the best pi's are best eaten warm although i suppose a Melton Mowbray pork pi is one delicious exception.

Yes, I got straight A's in geometry... A's and B's in Trig, and pretty much B- and C's in Calculus. But my calc teacher wasn't very good at explaining things... and even the brains in the class couldn't get above a B+. Algebra... well, I hate Algebra and muddled my way through that.

We could discuss sines and cosines, but I might go on a tangent.

I'll buck the trend and say I like pie room temperature. And I'm not so sure I would like pork pie, neilwood, but I'd try it I suppose. Can't say you don't like it if you haven't tried it. I suppose if it's like a pot pie I could like it.

I'm not sure why I capitalized all the names of the "subjects". I think it must be because I've been up since 4 and my sleep got interrupted 11 times last night... literally.

Liz If I recall correctly the various regional English meat pies are the predecessors to the American Pot Pies....

How about ice cream pie? Just like ice cream cake, but pie! Of course, these are best served semi-thawed rather than melted.

Those pork pies are normally eaten cold?? Well, either way, they sure do sound delicious!

It is not quite like pot pie - of which I have tried when I have been over. Melton Mowbray Pork Pies are a singularly delicious pie that is on its own in the pie world - selected pork, spices all wrapped up in a lovely pastry. Served cold or at room temperature.........mmmmmm.....especially with a pint of beer........drools...

Pork pie served with Branston pickle is better!

Heathen! You mean with tomato ketchup really don't you

I love me a good Pork Pie - and none of those pretend ones that you usually get from supermarkets.

Braised rabbit and pork pie is also very nice (as is a good game pie) served cold (or warm) with gravy...

Sounds good. All this talk of pie got me in the mood to make a homemade rabbit pot pie with homemade noodles and then homemade apple pie. Guess what's for supper tomorrow? (Tonight I already thawed the chicken...)
