Default Question about printing to canvas

I have never sent an image to be printed to canvas.
I want it to appear to be an oil portrait do I

A. Leave the file alone and send it to print as is,
B. Process it with paint daubs and brush strokes and stop at that
C. Get the file looking like a painting including the canvas texture.

Many photographers are using an application like Corel Painter to manipulate the image into a brush-stroked appearance. Then after printing to canvas, you could brush over it with a clear acrylic gesso to emulate the 3-dimensionality of brush strokes.

I guess what I am really asking is, should I apply the canvas texture? or would that be to much?

I would think it would be too much to add the texture to the image when the actual fabric will do it all alone. I would suggest to make it look like paint and the texture will come from the canvas.
