Default Double First!

Here are 2 shots taken with my new camera, and the shot of the loch is also the first with my new 17-40.

The waterfall was taken with the 24-70 at f11 for 1.3 seconds.
The loch is just a mile from my home and the waterfall is a 10 minute drive. As you can see, we've had quite a lot of rain recently . I could hear the falls some 200 yards away. A beautiful spot to visit and by the end of this month the bluebells will be out. At 5 in the morning, with no one else around, the scent and the peace and quiet, remind me why I moved to the Highlands.
I hope you enjoy the pictures - comments appreciated.

I haven't seen your work before, but these shots are very impressive. One comment on the first, the bush in the foreground doesn't work being dead centre. Move the bush (or take a few steps) to the right or left. Magnificent reflection and good work for what looks to be a very bright day. Try this shot early morning. The second shot is very good. Nicely done.

No comments on the setup that others haven't said, but wanted to compliment you on the overall quality of your shots.

Thanks all for the kind words.

Yes, you're right, the gorse should be off centre - doh!!

ajbalazic - this was taken at 6.30am. Haven't quite got my summer sleeping habits sorted out yet! Give me 'til the end of May and I'll be out by 4.30am

Greats shots, weemannie.
I particularly like the reflection in the loch shot ( gorse bush aside )

How do you like the new camera.
I'm hoping to have one by the end of the month, just a bit concerned about the weight.
My bag seems to get heavier each time I go out.

Hi Cameron
Get it!
Get it!
Get it!
Yes its heavy, but its wonderful to hold and use.
I love it and despite the fact that I can't afford to eat wouldn't change it for anything.
I'm just off now for a week at Applecross, literally, as we speak. This is my last action before hitting the road.
Regards
Trevor
