Default help..tips... anything on. going to my first shooting.

I am going with my uncle to go to a wedding shoot. He shoot with Nikon F100 and N90.

I will be shooting w/ d60. 16-35L and 28-70L, and Metz 54 flash. I need to show him that my digital will keep up with his film system. or even be better., cuz of editing.

For the Question.

1. should I be shooting in RAW
2. should i be using a soft box on the flash.
3. should I mostly over/under expose for AP 7.

thanks

I can not speak to the other two, but if you can afford the image storage devices, I highly recommend shooting in RAW mode. You get better quality to start with if you save to TIF before editing and more options to correct any mistakes.

Just my opinion.

I would get a flash bracket.
Forget the softbox, the flash won't work with it, in E-TTL mode.

You would have to use it in "A" mode or manual.

You will probably have problems with autofocus.
The on camera AF assist is annoying.
The metz AF assist will not work very well on the flash bracket. Metz makes an on-camera AF assist for your flash.

I would shoot in RAW format only.

Good luck!
