Advice Please

Not knowing much about the current P&S world I need some advice. A work mate is going overseas in the next week and has bailed me up for some advice. My recommendations of a DSLR fell flat.

She is looking at a IXUS 80IS, IXUS 100IS or Powershot SX110IS.

Which one is the best buy? Is there something else she should be looking at?

I have a Canon A720 IS which I think is great. Has a 6x optical zoom, yet is easy to operate and carry. If you can still get one, I'd recommend it.

I had the A720 which I was pleased with also.

My next camera was the SX110 which I can recommend. It will fit in a jacket pocket or baggy pants - give it an LCD protector though - beautiful 3"screen, 9mp, 10x Optical

gave mom the A720, kept the SX110 for compact, bought the SX10 recently.
SX10 of course will not fit in a pocket...

Oh, look at the Panasonic Lumix FZ28 too - highly recommended on www.dpreview.com

I am keeping my A720 IS. I need the viewfinder, the 6x optical zoom, and the use of AA batteries. I notice that digicams are starting to go toward designs I don't like, such as rechargeable batteries and lack of eye level viewfinders. I need reading glasses but don't want to mess with them when out and about.
