Default motocross

just wanna share some more photos from the weekend...........good and bad..... i am looking for comments to improve my photography ,all comments welcome.
settings for the 1st shot were....ISO 400 1/500 AT F4 @200MM.....
the 2nd shot....ISO 200 1/80 AT F13 @105MM

Did you have it in the sports mode? if not how did you kick it into AI servo to get the lovely motion blur?

Motion blur is determined by the shuuter speed of 1/80 second while panning. Focus distance wouldn't change much due to the side on shooting, and DOF at f13 should be sufficient to cover that small distance change. Servo is really only necessary for objects which are directly moving towards or away from the camera.

That second shot is real nice !!
