Default Printing companys.....

Hey guys. So I've started getting into the buisness of photography a bit. Im doing a couple senior photos for a few people, and i have many people asking me about ordering prints of photos from their shows (bands) and such things like that. I didnt see a stickied thread about this so i hope i can get some help here. Obviously i dont have the money to buy a printer that can print poster size images and things like that. so im asking you fellow photographers that also cannot afford a printer at the moment what printing company you use or what you do.

any help would be appriceated

thanks guys,

Logan Reed

I use a few. I use WHCC, Mpix, Miller's Lab. I've had great success from all of those.

There are several others out there that are great. I just have first-hand experience with those 3.

I use Exposure Manager. They excel at customer service and I've been absolutely delighted with their print quality. 0% of my customers have had any negative feedback about product.

You can also check the list of threads at the bottom of this one for similar postings.

Good luck.

+ 1 on Exposure Manager, another option is COSTCO. I have used them for a rush job and the quality was great. You just need to remember to work with a calibrated monitor and, UNCHECK the color correction box, it will change the shot from what you had on your monitor. At Costco you also need them to turn off the backprinting if you don't want people to know where you went.

Thanks, Brice. I also use exposure manager and had great results with their lab, too. I didn't know if he wanted to get into something like ExpMan or not. I have several of ExpMan's prints hanging on my walls and the walls of all my family. Also, if you want to get a discount on Exposure Manager, use my referral code.....http://www.exposuremanager.com/aff/7mphotography

I use Millers, Mpix or the new MpixPro depending on the order and client

How is the new MpixPro? I just signed up and submitted my 5 test images. Have you used them yet?

Yes, I have submitted about 5 orders. Same as Mpix with better products and cheaper/faster shipping. The only thing I can see that cost more is the 4x6

With WHCC you will need to know about monitor calibration and have your monitor calibrated (you should really do this any way if you have not?) You then submit 5 images to see if your monitor matches the printed output. Your cost is $0 and you will also receive with your 5 8 x 10's several 4 x 6's showing the different textures.

I have been very impressed with them thus far.

Costco - they're surprisingly good, and far, far cheaper than many of the supposed "wholesale" companies. They're so inexpensive you can afford to upload a print, order it, get it in the mail, check out the color and exposure, then make adjustments accordingly in PP, then upload the new version and order prints of the corrected image. $1.49 for an 8x12 $2.99 for a 12x18 Hard to beat that!
