Default Aberration Problem with HSF10 and Final Cut Express

I just purchased the HFS10. I'm using the latest version of Final Cut Express. Works well.

I filmed me playing an electric guitar and I get this fine grained metallic zebra striped swirl effect on the strings of the guitar and on some of my blue jeans in the video. No where else. Do you know what causes this? What am I doing wrong? I filmed in 30P, highest quality. I noticed the FCE AVCHD Apple Intermediate Codec is only i60 and not 30P. Do I need to set the camera to 60i? I didn't notice the effect on the camera screen, but see it clearly on my HD monitor in FCE.

Also, why does the HFS10 screen say I can't power down or disconnect when connected to the computer. It's as if it says I cant do anything at all. I downloaded the files perfectly, but the screen message never changes. I just ejected the icon on my screen and then disconnected the USB. Worked fine. I think the message on the camcorder screen is wrong.

Thx!

you need to set your project or canvas to be at 30p(29.97fps) and NOT at 60i.

go to the drive and eject it b4 unplugging the USB.
