Has anybody tried the Promaster off camera cord and the 5D mk ii? I could not get it to fit on the mk ii for anything. It was the one cord I found that the 580EXii would lock down on and is well made but just cant get it on.

get the one from flashzebra http://flashzebra.com/products/0122/index.shtml i'm using that for my 5D2 and 580EX2. it fits and locks perfectly.

Or may be you should get a longer one to make it real off-camera setup:
