Default Rugby League - 400mm 2.8

Took these shots at a Rugby League Grand Final Yesterday. 2nd use of my 400 2.8 II. All shot are @ F2.8, ISO 400 and post prosessing was only watermark and slight crop, that is it.

Let me know what you think.

Was this at win stadium in wollongong? I like the photos, especially 3 and 4, but not overly sold on the borders.

Yeah, it was at Win Stadium in Wollongong! Agree the boarders aren't much but that is the only one I've created so far and I've been to lazy create any new ones.

Thanks for the feedback.

These look familiar! haha. Mate I'm not gonna post any of mine from a 300f/4L after seeing the bokeh on these shots! Nice work!

Come on Rob, F4 bokeh is pretty good and I like your shots, put up champ. Besides all the gridiron stuff that's been on here of late, I think is only fare to show something else.

What about the shots you got when you had a go of my 400?

Nice series!

I've always wondered how those guys would do in the NFL -- They can sure take the hits, and they're in great shape.

Ok if you insist and I couldn't resist this, plus it is a great way for people to compare 300f/4L's with 400 f/2.8L's ........ I had a quick look through and realised I had a few similar shots ....... here's 3 of them ..... is it obvious we were sitting in the same place? hahaha .... I also threw in one of my other fav's from the game.

shots from the 400/2.8 are way overexposed and it washed out the colors.

Nice shots both of you, but the exposures on these are outstanding. Very nice work. A good example of how the difference between good and great images is not always related to gear.

x3 on the over exposure but most of them look good. just tone down the exposure and add some contrast.
