me and my son went down to fly some gliders yesterday. it's been over a year since i stepped into one and i had to fight to find thermals . but i think i got some good pics.

my son wanted this on posted first. he took it.

Pretty shot! The isolation & the clouds give the feeling of being all alone up there.

it was great. bad thing was the thermals kept dying out. it was hard to find lift. we did have one guy stay up for over an hour. could have stayed longer but he got tired of flying..

your son did a great job with the first pic. Looks like a lot of fun. I've always wanted to fly a glider. The closest I've gotten so far tho is when I lost an engine in a Diamond Eclipse.

Anything like that you survive is classified as "Great fun!"
Which partly explains, "Hey 'Yall, watch this!"

lol.. here in texas we just say. . . . haaaay man, hold my beer and watch this..
and loosing an engine isn't the same. ive lost 2. one on a ferry flight and i really didn't know the airplane (experimental) second was i was flying aerobatics, engine went out and didn't start back.
both times LUCKILY were over an airport.
it's so much more fun knowing there isn't an engine period.. lol..
