These are really good shots! The color saturation is fine and the composition is great. I would suggest using some fill-flash to separate your beautiful puppy from the background.

Yea, although I have like 11k clicks on the shutter (NO clue how) I still do not know what I am doing. I will let my bullies run through the yard and get motion shots of them so like 200 pictures is the normal for me within an hour with them. I delete about 180 usually.
The first is the one really saturated but I love it and it printed nice. The main one I worried about was my favorite picture I've ever taken of him, by the tree. There is just no saturation to me, and its not sharp enough. I love the picture so much though I couldn't delete it. Thanks so much for the comments though

Are you doing any post-processing in PS or LR?

I have PS. But I couldnt really get it to do anything that I liked. I only really do sharpening and saturation on PS don't really know how to do anything else. Just not much color to the picture. And Drozz, thank you
Someday I will understand what all of this means. Hell before I even understand taking good photos my shutter will be replaced haha

I wouldn't try using manual focus for shooting action shots of your dogs. Stick with AF, and depending on what style of shot you're going for play with shutter speed to try to freeze the action or switch to AI servo and pan along with the dogs as if they're cars on a racetrack.

Yea thats what I do. Sometimes it just AF on the wrong points of the dog or other objects.
