Default Old House

I have been going past this house since I was a little kid. I finally stopped and took a photo.
Would love your opinions please.

I agree. I'd be interested to see what it looked like in B&W as it seems like it would be pretty dramatic.

It's interesting the first comment was "over processed" and then your comment to the B/W is that it is boring. Graphically the image works well and the B/W works well too. It seems to be a common trend that if an image is boring it needs to be spiced up in order to sell it to an audience that would include me. I think it takes some real courage to step back and allow something to stand for what it is and not for what I want it to be. That said I didn't think your first treatment wasn't off base and you most certainly can tone the B/W with any color or combination of filtering like making the house and yard warm tone, the sky cold tone. Also I think if you did some edge sharpening on the house while leaving the sky soft it would add even more pop to the image.

I had sharpened the building edges a bit and not the sky, might try doing that a bit stronger.
I think it depends on my mood as to weither I like the Sepia or BW
