Default Hot shoe problem?

I just received my Adorama Flashpoint Monolight and so far love it. I have used it with the slave sensor utilizing my XSI pop up flash and successfully using the wireless eBay remotes.

The problem is no flash at all using the sync cable and hot shoe. I assume its the hot shoe as I have heard it seems some folks have issues? This is it...

No luck at all. Adorama CS chose this hot shoe. Is there another one I should be using?

Thank you.

If you drop a line to CS, with your order number, they should sort it out for you - but remember that we close at 1:00 EST today, and don't re-open 'til 9:00 Tuesday morning - and we will be backed up with emails.......
