Default IS THE LIGHT RIGHT?

I suffer from seasonal affected disorder (SAD) for which I use a light therapy lamp that emits 5000 lumes.
I have been exploring using this lamp as a light source, and would appreciate comments on this photo, and anything I could do to improve the lighting.
Thanks, Bob.

Thanks, I have noticed that all the shots taken with this lamp are a little too ruddy.
I might try some kind of diffuser material to try and correct that, any suggestions?

I did this in Photoshop Elements in about 2 seconds. What do you think?

If you shoot raw, you can change the color balance with no data loss. Or, maybe you could put blue film in front of the light? I'd try to fix it in post processing.

The white balance seems off. If you shot in RAW and use a PP program that has a W/B clicker, click the eye dropper on the white knitted blanket.

I like the edit David, but on my (uncalibrated) monitor the cheeks now look a tad hot.
Thanks for that GorgeShooter, will attempt a rework on the RAW file.

If you place an 18% gray card in the scene for the first shot as shoot in Raw your white balance can be made nearly perfect in ACR IF the original light source is not severly deficient in one or more of the colors in the spectrum.

I did this really quickly.but just to give you the idea ...
Thought this would eliminate the red issues. Sorry to hear about the SAD, but thankfully there are remedies for it!
With this light being used as a source, you will always be fighting the red.

Cute girls.

Aww thanks Flo, the real remedy would be not living in the land of NOD (not enough light!).

What is regarding lights I would say it is too flat. A volume of objects is getting lost when you're using front light. Try 45 degrees angle for the main light and a reflector opposite side of the light. I guess it will improve an image light pattern dramatically.
