"I'd kill for a hot pink 40D"
|
These are images I shot for the 2009 Deaf Olympic Track and Field Team - they competed in Taipei, Taiwan this past summer. First image is of Joylisa Davis, Triple Jump Queen, Second Image is of Joanel Lopez, Gold Medalist in Shot Put, and Last image is of Delvin Furlough, 400M Gold Medalist and 4x400 Silver Medalist.
![]() ![]() ![]() Edit: Had to put this one in as well. This is of Michael and Craig Saalfeld, both Silver Medalists in the 4x400, and I believe Craig has a Silver medal in the Decathlon, and Michael the Gold in the 800M. ![]()

By 'strobe' we mean any light source that is not continuous lighting. It could be a Speedlight or any hot shoe flash, a studio strobe, a Metz potato masher or any light source with a flash tube.

Threes strobes.
Main light, camera left, 53" Octa. Large white reflector as fill source, camera right. Two strobes on background to render pure white. I usually don't notice too much of a tonal change from the original to the web image but in this case I can see that the transitions on Stefanie's forehead are not as smooth as in the original. I don't like doing a separate edit for the web so that's the only excuse I'll make for this one. ![]()
