It hit 106 here on the highway on the way home from the temple today. It was so hot. I had Ken stop at a Chinese take out to get lunch and we had grill cheese for dinner. We're taking Jared to his friend's house and getting ice cream on the way back. I got lots of pictures the last few days. Lots of fun.

The Zoo was a zoo.... so crowded but the boys loved it. Instead of being 78 degrees, it was 89!! So we cooked. The zoo is up hill, down hill and we were pushing a double stoller; 1/2 to hold Nicholas and 1/2 to hold our camera bags, snacks, change of clothes, etc. Skip & I are pooped tonight!!

Oh, sounds like a day! I remember taking both boys in a double stroller at Disney World many years ago. Yeah, those were the days. Now they push me around.

Spent the afternoon driving the boys around and doing some dance festival pictures. It's been great fun to see those teenagers learn the moves. Yesterday they were in 1/2 costume, girls were dressed in their Mexican hat dance outfits. Very nice. All the dancing was indoors so we didn't roast. But we hit 105 at Reagan Airport, a record high for the day for sure.

Ahhh, summer. We are supposed to be starting a heat wave today, 103-106. Normal for us though.
Today is day 4 with the boys. Carrie is supposed to pick them up this afternoon but I never hold my breath.

We're heading off to church. Jared is giving a talk on patience. I'm losing my patience with him working on it, though. It's 108 with the heat index, 100 just the temperature. My car will be boiling when I get in it.

Yes, and hooray for you guys. I saw the cool front moving in from Canada but the high pressure has pushed westward and now we are having our heatwave. 90 degrees by 1100 this morning, 104 this afternoon. Thank goodness for the solar...... our electric bill was 86 cents this month!

If we could have gone solar, we would have. Can't in this area, but we are happy that we are cool. Our AC is keeping up. Today it was so nice to go out. I didn't even complain once and at Olive Garden, where I have lunch with Greg to celebrate Jared going to summer school finally, it was freezing cold and we had to go outside to get warm.

Now we are working on the Verizon Wireless bill and situation. Looks like we are consolidating the phones and iPads, but not this month. So complicated, really.

I have pictures so I will get them ready to show.

Happy Wednesday to all. About to get ready to take my sister to lunch and brave the 109 weather with overcast clouds. Yesterday I went and walked the mall for an hour & bought Danielle a couple of maternity tops which she was tickled to get. She is such an independent gal & probably my fault for drumming into her how to cook, clean and take care of herself cuz she resists letting me help her out now. So yesterday when I took the shirts over to her, she & Brandon were telling me how one of their friends just had a new baby and how tiny he was and how they were scared to become responsible for something so tiny. It was the perfect opportunity for me to tell her (not ask) that I would come over for the first week or two after she gets home from the hospital & cook, clean/do laundry so she & Brandon can bond with the baby and have me close by for whatever. I won't spend all day there or anything but since she only lives about 1 1/2 miles away, I can zip over and back as often as she needs. Thankfully, she was very relieved & I also told her that I wanted to do that as both her mom & as a grandma. Once she has a couple of kids under her belt, she will understand that more.
She is half way through her pregnancy this week and we are setting so excited. I bought her crib bedding yesterday & that is what she is getting for her birthday next month.

Hi folks, having fun in Roanoke this week

. Went out for a super steak dinner last night. Today we have meetings all day and then Friday back on the road to home. My boss retired yesterday after 21 years with the company...I was the event photographer of course. Our new CEO is my personal friend of 22 years and he will do a great job of leading us for the foreseeable furure...great things are ahead for our firm

Sounds like you will still be happy after the changes, Jim. I never was happy with my last hospital after it sold to another company, and then another. It lost it's specialness for sure.

So it is noon & I have Aaron, Nick & Jayda. The boys are playing Mine Craft on the computer & Jayda just went down for a nap. Not one squawk out of her today and soooo cute. Nick loves her & she was equally smitten with him. Nick asked me to take their picture together so I whipped out my Pro 1.

I will post later......
The monsoons have swarmed in & lowered the temp from 107 to 104 but increased the humidity to unbearable. We are all staying inside today.

You are so lucky to have them all there, Mo. I know it's a lot to deal with, but little babies do wonders for older kids. I have always told parents of one child to have another because the whole older sister/brother thing helps the child develop skills that are more useful than parents know. You have that with these 3. They will definitely benefit from all the interactions. And they are adorable. Doesn't hurt.

And Jim, glad your company is moving forward. It's all good.

Ken & Greg had a terrible adventure last night at Dulles. The flight was delayed twice and then cancelled all together after they upgraded my guys to first class. They spent the night at a hotel and then are delayed again this morning. It's been so hard on poor Greg. He's bored to tears. I would hate it, but give me an excuse to sit in a quiet area to read or play on my iPad, I'm good for a few hours. A full day, just shoot me!

Oh, well. Have a great Friday! I'm off to my day.
