You want to choose between black or white? Either one makes no difference as these are neutral colour and is only up to you whether you want a dar or light display for your pictures.

My vote is for white. I think it goes better with the blue, and the blue goes really well with the gray type. Nice design.

Selling photography of children, families, and weddings? I would do white because it looks cleaner and more inviting.
Selling more towards seniors, glamour, or commercial? I think black works well but so does white. Selling to both crowds? Default choice would be white in my book. Black also works well as your private portfolio, high end photography like glamour, but I think white works best if selling to the general public. Just my opinion on your two choices above.

I like white too. Thats why my site is all white.

Thanks all for the replys.
Here is the updated design (Ignore the colour). Personally I like the white but I'm worried it will show the empty gaps more? |

If you feel white lacks to much what about a shade of lighter gray?
