Considering that it was only a small airfield, there were masses of takeoff's and landings. easily one every two minutes for most of the day. The ATC guys had their work cut out and my hat goes off to them. I thought I'd share some of my favorites from the day. Hope you enjoy.
The Yak-11 came in from Sleap, Shrops. ![]() Two DH87B Hornet Moth's. Big brother to the famous Tiger Moth, there aren't too many left flying. ![]() Augusta A109 from the local Charter/training company flew in just after lunch ![]() Two Piper Cubs, One in wartime markings. ![]() And finally...thank god I hear you say...Europa kit-plane with a microlight ![]() A good day at what is usually a sleepy little airfield in the welsh borders with a few types that you don't see very often. Hope you enjoy them as much as I did taking them.
