hey all,
I just thought i'd share this photo here, took this on Sunday morning of the MotoGP. my shoulder had gotten so sore that i had given up with the shoulder strap and was just carrying the camera by hand. my feet were just about dead from all the walking and standing, and i probably lost a bit of weight after that weekend due to not having enough time to eat! but this photo pretty much makes it all worthwhile to me. I previewed it on the camera just after i got it and had to smile. then when i got back home and had a chance to see it full size i was even more impressed. enjoy, let me know what you think. ![]() i have a whole bunch of other photos to sort through yet, i'll post here again if i have anything else that stands out. |

Great shot!
Wonder how exciting it would have been to be at Portimao with Bayliss and Spies going head to head!

cheers all.
i've been looking at this one... i agree maybe a little bit underexposed - the whites are not really a bright bright white. also i've had others comment that maybe cropping the top and bottom wouldn't go astray.. i will have a play with that for the print. (i usually upload the full size un-cropped pics to Flickr though, just as a kind of online backup.) |

The more effort that goes into the shot, the sweeter it is! Well done, now edit it up ..print and hang!

Thanks for posting that pic of Troy! My all time favorite rider! Was he doing a parade lap on the Ducati Bayliss replica? I've heard that supercar racing isn't panning out for him and that he wants to come back to WSBK. You see it all the time when these guys retire at the top of their game. They think they are done and it's time to move on to other things, but they just don't feel right till they are back racing again. I can just imagine Troy just moping around the house wondering what he'll do that day.
Back to your pic. Like others have said, it's a little under exposed and could use a crop both top and bottom. I love that you captured the sparks off the toe sliders, or maybe that could be the footpeg. Philip Island is such an awesome track! Looking forward to more of your shots! Cheers mate! |
