Nice composition, good thought process; a shallower DOF centered on the main foreground subject would have made a good shot better. Thank you for sharing.

I like this a lot.

I think the DOF is spot on; the city is part of the subject matter for me.

I like that the bkg isn't perfectly sharp as it does give some separation but I think I need to see some of the detail there as the headless man isn't really the main subject but rather it is his apparent isolation inside the context of the city.

Actually, with the planned day ahead of me, that sounds like a pretty good idea. Seriously though, I never thought of him as a headless man until you mentioned it.....and that brings to mind another train of thought. This image engenders more complexity than I first realized. Somewhat provocative.

I agree. A shallower DOF would've been better. It gives kind of a "off into the abyss" feeling.

The dead end if I guess right, is where the photographer is. As if you are coming down the street towards the guy and he is the dead end.
