This is just a shot I did the other night.
Any advice on how to keep this look while eliminating noise? Thanks ![]()

Nice shot! You could run it through some noise reduction program than make a mask and paint back some detail in the door etc. where the noise is not so prominent?

I like the treatment. Odd they say "anyone" is welcome, rather than 'everyone'. And the place is empty. Looks like they're begging for customers! I like the sign in Desperado "the customer is always wrong".

Mike, the first thing I would do is correct the blown out panel on the top of the Coke machine. Use one of your under-exposed images and lay it on top, apply a hide all mask and paint in that area. If it is too strong lower the opacity of your brush, set the hardness to somewhere from 35%-50% for a good blend. I would also do it for the machines to the right of the Coke machine. What is going on on top of the Coke machine also. For me the red is over powering and demands too much attention for me, but that's me. It's not that it's bad just a lot of red. It also appears that there is some haloing going on around the trash can frame left and the cabinet frame right middle.Color saturation builds noise and so does luminosity, as well as the number of exposures you use to build your image. Not trying to be hard on your image, I like the composition and your strong treatment seems to work well overall with the composition.

Thanks, Kevin (and others). Great advice. The tougher the advice the better, IMO. I need to learn.
I'll keep working on this. This indoor cafe, by the way, isn't a business. It's part of a community center. It doesn't make any money. It essentially serves snacks at a very light profit (for repairs, supplies, etc.) for anyone who uses the community center. It says, "anyone is welcome" because it's part of our church (the community center).

Mike, I do use Define 2.0 sometimes when the noise is too much. I like it because it makes a layer with a mask so you can be selective and adjust our brush strength on your noisy areas. Other software may do the same and if so then it's a personal preference, I just like like Nikware products.

In this photo the noise works for me. Just my opinion!
