Girls on the beach?
I've not been there myself, but have seen pics.

I've cruised through he BVIs twice but it was a few years ago. Underwater is really where it's happening, get a housing if you can. I'd think shots from the beach of sailboats cruising would be nice, maybe find some elevation and just take shots of the other islands. Don't just stay in one place, there are water taxis to take you on day trips to different islands.
I'd make a real effort to get to the "Baths" on Virgin Gorda. Snorkeling was incredible. Win |

Spent a week there this past summer on my honeymoon. If you going to Virgin Gorda, the Baths and Caves have some good photo ops. Pretty much anywhere though is beautiful. Have fun.

We spent a few weeks sailing around the BVI's and have been back numerous times when ever we can afford it
Spent most of our time on Tortola, chillin' on the beach at Cane Garden Bay. Tortola is a great little Island to explore ![]() Full Moon over Cane Garden Bay on Tortola Are you going for the Full Moon Party? December 31st is actually a Blue Moon, and Bomba's Shack on Tortola has a legendary Full Moon Party ever full moon. Something tells me since New Years Eve is a full moon, and a blue moon, the mushroom tea that makes it so legendary will be especially good this year! Party goes from moon rise to sunrise Foxy's, which is on Jost Van Dyke, just across the bay from Tortola is also legendary for their New Years Eve parties. Mega Yachts and superstars come from all over the world for the party on New Years and it is something we plan to attend before we kick the bucket ![]() View of Cruz Bay on St. John as the sun is setting Foxy's is a cool place to chill out and pound back some beers and just take in the tropical blue waters too!! I would bring a housing for the camera for sure. If you dont have one, take out a loan to go buy one. Or go buy a G10 or G11 and get the $150 housing Canon offers, you wont be dissapointed. Never seen water this clean in my life. Best Snorkeling on Earth and the Baths at Virgin Gorda are so worth a boat rental and a day spent just swimming and lounging in the warm water ![]() The beach at The Baths ![]() ![]() Swimming with the Sea Turtles ![]() Living in a Post Card on Honeymoon Beach! Called that because the only way to get to it is by anchoring off the secluded beach and swimming in or taking the dinghy in. Clothing is optional and the few ladies we did meet on the beach chose to leave their suits at home this day. Yep, views this spectacular out over the water, with nude women all around. Life is good sometimes ![]() Hope some of those shots get you excited. It's probably my favorite place in the world to visit. The people are great, as long as you dont act like a tourist and be demanding, and the scenery is even more amazing. I'd be sure you bring a nice wide angle lens, a circular polorizer, a underwater housing and cash. Many of the little bars and restaurants on the islands dont take credit cards. Another good thing we found was finding a knowledgeable local and hiring them for a day to act as a tour guide. We were sitting in a bar on Tortola talking with the bartender who was very friendly and knew all hot spots. We asked what day he had off and asked if we rented a boat ($250 for the day, but well worth it) would he like to come along and act as our tour guide. He was more than happy to do so and it was a great day. He told us so much stuff we never would have learned if it hadnt been for his years of knowledge from living on the island. Also make sure you check out Willy-T's. Its an old schooner that is anchored in a protective bay. ![]() They serve lunch and beers and the ritual is to jump off the top of the boat into the water Also, if you dont already own it, get a copy of Kenny Chesney's CD "Be As You Are" Chesney lives in St. John when he's not touring and this album is nothing like his normal music. Its never gotten any radio play because he never really marketed it, but all the songs are about the islands and the words will make alot more sense once you're there and realize he's talking about Foxy's, Willy-T's and many of the local bars. Hope that helps. Have fun Link to Gallery where these images were from |
